Privacy Policy

Last Updated: March 31, 2026

ParkingSkillz, Inc. ("ParkingSkillz," "we," "our," or "us") operates the website located at https://www.parkingskillz.com (the "Site"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our Site or submit information through our waitlist form. Please read this policy carefully. If you disagree with its terms, please discontinue use of the Site immediately.

1. Who We Are & Age Restriction

ParkingSkillz, Inc. is a technology company incorporated in the State of Delaware. Our principal place of business is in Denver, Colorado. THE SITE IS INTENDED SOLELY FOR INDIVIDUALS WHO ARE AT LEAST 16 YEARS OF AGE AND HOLD OR ARE ELIGIBLE TO HOLD A VALID DRIVER'S LICENSE. WE DO NOT KNOWINGLY COLLECT PERSONAL INFORMATION FROM ANYONE UNDER THE AGE OF 16. IF YOU ARE UNDER 16, DO NOT USE OR PROVIDE ANY INFORMATION ON THIS SITE. If we learn we have collected personal information from a child under 16 without verified parental consent, we will delete that information promptly. To report a concern, contact us at law.policy@parkingskillz.com.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information you voluntarily provide and information collected automatically when you use the Site.

A. Information You Provide Directly

  • Email address (lowercased and trimmed upon submission)
  • Home neighborhood — selected via map interaction, including place name, coordinates, bounding box, and acceptable walk radius in meters
  • Work neighborhood (optional) — same structure as home neighborhood
  • Other frequent spot (optional) — same structure
  • For each location: your preferred parking days (Weekdays, Weekends, or Both) and preferred time window (start hour and end hour)

B. Information We Collect Automatically

  • UTM marketing parameters (utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign, utm_term, utm_content) appended to the URL when you arrive via a marketing link
  • HTTP referrer URL (the page you visited immediately before our Site)
  • A/B test variant assigned to your session (e.g., hero image or copy variant)
  • Device type (mobile vs. desktop, derived from user-agent string)
  • Full browser user-agent string
  • Browser language setting (e.g., en-US)
  • System timezone (e.g., America/New_York)
  • Screen width and height in pixels
  • Form submission timestamp (ISO 8601)
  • Time elapsed from first form interaction to submission (used for fraud detection)

C. Map Interaction Data We Collect

For each location you provide on the map, we collect the following signals in addition to your pin coordinates and radius:

  • How you placed your pin — via the search bar ("geocoder") or by tapping directly on the map ("map click")
  • Map zoom level at the time you dropped the pin (a higher zoom indicates a more deliberate, precise placement)
  • Distance in meters between the geocoder's suggested center and your final pin position, if you used the search bar and then moved the pin (a measure of how much you corrected the suggestion)
  • Geocoder enrichment data, where available: borough (e.g., Manhattan, Brooklyn), city (e.g., New York City), state (e.g., New York), country, Mapbox feature identifiers, place type (neighborhood, locality, or place), geocoder confidence score, and address accuracy classification

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

  • To add you to our waitlist and send you communications about ParkingSkillz, including launch announcements and product updates
  • To understand where our users live, work, and travel so we can prioritize geographic product expansion
  • To analyze marketing channel effectiveness using UTM parameters and referrer data
  • To conduct A/B testing of our Site's user interface
  • To detect and prevent fraud, bots, and abuse
  • To comply with legal obligations
  • To improve the Site and our products

We rely on the following legal bases for processing: (i) your consent, provided when you submit the waitlist form; (ii) our legitimate interests in operating and improving our business; and (iii) compliance with applicable law.

4. How We Share Your Information

We are committed to transparency about data sharing. We share your information in the following circumstances:

A. Service Providers

We share data with third-party vendors who perform services on our behalf, including: email delivery platforms (e.g., Mailchimp, SendGrid), analytics providers (e.g., Google Analytics), advertising platforms (e.g., Meta/Facebook Pixel), mapping and geocoding services (e.g., Mapbox), cloud infrastructure providers, and fraud-detection services. These vendors are contractually prohibited from using your data for their own purposes beyond the services they provide to us.

B. Analytics & Advertising Partners

We use analytics and advertising tools that may set cookies or pixels on your device and collect data about your behavior on our Site. These tools may combine data collected on our Site with data from other sources. You may opt out of Google Analytics at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout and manage Meta ad preferences at https://www.facebook.com/ads/preferences.

C. Potential Future Sale or License of Data

IMPORTANT DISCLOSURE: We may in the future sell, license, or otherwise transfer aggregated, de-identified, or pseudonymized datasets derived from waitlist data to third parties, including business partners, data brokers, or acquirers. We will not sell or license your individually identifiable personal information (as defined under applicable state law) to third parties for their own marketing purposes without providing you with prior notice and, where required by law, an opportunity to opt out. If our data practices change materially, we will notify you by email and update this Privacy Policy.

D. Corporate Transactions

In the event of a merger, acquisition, asset sale, financing, or dissolution, your information may be transferred as a business asset. We will notify affected users via email or prominent Site notice before personal information is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

E. Legal Requirements

We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in the good-faith belief that such action is necessary to comply with a legal obligation, protect our rights, prevent fraud, or protect the safety of others.

5. Location Data

Our waitlist form asks you to identify your home neighborhood, work neighborhood, and other areas of interest using an interactive map. You drag and drop a pin to indicate a general area and set an acceptable walk radius. We do not use your device's GPS or location services and do not collect real-time location data.

The coordinates you provide reflect the center of the pin you place, which may correspond to a street intersection, neighborhood center, or any point you choose — not necessarily your precise home or workplace address. We also collect geocoder metadata associated with your search result (see Section 2C for the full list), along with map interaction signals such as zoom level and pin placement method.

All location data is used to inform our product roadmap, prioritize geographic expansion, and analyze neighborhood-level demand patterns. It is associated with your email address for internal analysis and is never sold or licensed in individually identifiable form without prior notice and an opportunity to opt out (see Section 4C).

6. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We and our third-party partners use cookies, web beacons, pixels, and similar technologies to operate and improve the Site, attribute traffic to marketing campaigns, and conduct analytics. You may control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may limit some Site functionality. We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals where required by applicable law.

7. Data Retention

We retain waitlist data for as long as necessary to operate our waitlist program, launch our product, and comply with legal obligations, which we currently expect to be no longer than five (5) years from your submission date absent a product launch. You may request deletion at any time as described in Section 9.

8. Data Security

We implement and maintain reasonable and appropriate technical, administrative, and physical safeguards designed to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. These measures include: encryption of data in transit (TLS 1.2 or higher) and at rest; access controls and least-privilege principles; regular security reviews; and vendor security assessments.

No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially reasonable safeguards, we cannot guarantee absolute security. In the event of a data breach affecting your personal information, we will notify you as required by the New York SHIELD Act and other applicable law.

9. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights regarding your personal information:

  • Access: Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
  • Correction: Request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete information
  • Deletion: Request that we delete your personal information (subject to legal exceptions)
  • Opt-Out of Marketing: Unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time via the unsubscribe link in any email we send you
  • Opt-Out of Data Sale/Transfer: If we begin selling or licensing individually identifiable personal information, you will have the right to opt out prior to such transfer
  • Data Portability: Request your data in a structured, machine-readable format where technically feasible

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at law.policy@parkingskillz.com. We will respond within 45 days (or sooner as required by applicable law). We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling your request.

10. Third-Party Links

Our Site may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those websites and encourage you to review their privacy policies.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We reserve the right to modify this Privacy Policy at any time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email (using the address associated with your waitlist submission) and by updating the "Last Updated" date above. Your continued use of the Site after the effective date of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy. If we intend to use your personal information in a materially different manner than described at collection, we will seek your affirmative consent before doing so.
