It happened on a Manhattan street.

"What time are you leaving later? Can I have that spot back after you're done with work?"

Our founder was driving to his workplace in the Upper East Side of Manhattan—a dense residential neighborhood and home to some of NYC's largest hospitals. While beginning his search for a free street parking spot that morning, our founder arrived just as a neighbor pulled out. Our founder pulled in. The departing neighbor walked up to the window and asked: "What time are you leaving later? Can I have that spot back after you're done with work?"

Later that evening, the reverse swap happened.

Two strangers. Zero technology. It worked perfectly. ParkingSkillz exists to make that moment happen thousands of times a day—reliably and at scale.
